Does anyone know how to optimise loading speed for pages with multiple video links? Firefox freezes loading pages for an annoyingly long time. I'm running w8, panda cloud, sandboxie, comodo firewall only (previously pfw), emet, Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit. FF extensions: Adblock Plus, Ghostery (disabled for now), Https Everywhere. Maybe a FF setting would help... any ideas as to what might interfere?
You mean by disabling js? Then Im always re enabling it for functionality. Still.... loading times seem excessive. Im starting to think ghostery settings might interfere, even though its disabled, or adblockplus?
Try creating these about:config preferences. Right click an empty space in the about:config dialog and create new. First one in the list below is Integer, second is String, last one Boolean. content.notify.backoffcount 5 content.notify.interval 750000 content.notify.ontimer True Here's a link to the first one in the Mozillazine Knowledge Base. There are links there to the other two. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Content.notify.backoffcount You might also do a search for ways to improve Firefox performance. FF has a lot of about:config preferences that don't exist by default but you can create them. There are some add-ons too that can tweak FF's configuration for better performance. One is Fasterfox but I've never used it so I can't say anything about it one way or another.
