You can log in with your gmail account and have nothing synced at all or if you want to just have bookmarks synced or just extensions or just apps synced when you login(there will also be a option at the bottom where you login to choose what to sync) there will be a option in settings to choose (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/185277?hl=en) what to sync.:thumb::cool:

Hi Waters, I am glad to see you got your license back. About Chrome and SBIE. There are problems right now between SBIE and Chrome 37 (32 and 64 bits). This issues dont affect everyone running Chrome under SBIE but for some people, the browser is crashing or are getting SBIE messages.

A few posts back, I wrote that I tested Chrome 37 in XP and W7. In my testing, I was really surprised, not only I couldn't make the browser crash or get any SBIE messages but the browser ran very nice, I even liked it. Like you, I like my sandboxes to open and close fast, if that's the only problem you are having right now running Chrome sandboxed, don't feel so bad. Invincea knows about this problems, I am sure they are gonna be working on that tomorrow. This weekend was a long weekend, today was an off day in the US:cool:.

For some of the users that have experienced Chrome crashing, disabling Drop Rights has helped. It might not do anything for you but you can try it to see if it makes a difference. In my personal case, Word in XP opens a lot faster if I run Word files in a sandbox where I don't enable Drop Rights. So I know that setting is doing something and when there is an issue is not a bad idea to see how things work after disabling it.

That was one of the reasons I stopped using Chrome with Sandboxie. Chrome startup was always slow when run under SBIE. After startup though browsing speed was back to normal. I don't think that you can do anything to get normal startup time (at least I didn't find a solution) and you will have to get used to it.

There are solutions, one is to get rid of the AV that you are using and you wont have any delay opening or closing the sandbox. Or find another AV, one that doesn't cause a delay when working along Sandboxie. Antiviruses scan Sandboxie when it starts to work.

By the way, when I tested Chrome 37, sandboxes opened and closed fast, it was immediate, even faster than with Firefox. And in both, XP and W7.

Hi Bo! Those solutions might help some people but they didn't in my case. I have had no AV installed and startup delay was still there.
Without SBIE Chrome runs in less than half a second, under SBIE it's startup time increases for second or two. It didn't matter if container was set on SSD or on Ramdisk. I know that startup delay is not that big but it is noticeable.

A second or two is nothing, IMO. In my computers opening Chrome felt immediate, it might be one or two seconds. To me, thats fast. There are programs that cause a big delay to open and close sandboxes (10 or more seconds) when scanning the sandbox or checking SBIE but a couple of seconds I think its fine.:)

No antivirus installed. I have never found a solution to the slow starting of Chrome, about 6 seconds delay. All browsers are slow with Sandboxie and if its ever fixed i will just use Sandboxie, I thought i would just try it again but its still the same.

By the way, Mr Brian, version 4.08 is still secure if you are using a sandbox with Drop Rights or if you disable Windows Remote Management. I think its a good idea to use Sandboxies latest version but that's how it is.

4.13.4 is now available. :) (Hey, one time I get to beat Bo. :D)

They finally fixed the memory leaks, it seems. ("Several large memory leaks?" haha) Seems to stay dead flat so far, even with the demo program I provided recently (which caused mem to leak like crazy). Only been waiting since last year (or forever with 4.x). It was horrific IIRC in the first 4.01 releases and then improved some, I believe, but had always been leaking away most of the time (I seemed to just have the right combination of stuff running to magnify the problem, though it was still noticeable even not running the "bad combo" these last several weeks -- over 1 MB per day :cautious:).

Still looks to be leaking those Port handles :'(, which I have no idea about...

Not Invincea's fault I guess, they just had to fix it from tzuk. Like the much-appreciated fix of the kernel-memory-exhausting Crypto resource leak in 4.13.1 (wouldn't hurt much outside of XP since its resources are limited, but still a major BUG).

So some bigger changes in store whenever the "official" 4.14 is released to replace the aging 4.12. Nice. :-*

Hey Doctor, this is your:cool: version.
@wolfrun, run the installer and have fun, I already did, 4.13.4 feels great in both, XP and W7.

Not everyone is having issues running Chrome under Sandboxie but this version has a fix for some of the problems that some users are experiencing.

Chrome users with problems who have upgraded Sandboxie to this version over the top, ought to be aware that to try this fix, it has to be applied in Applications>All Applications.

Why is my version 4.12 and when I check updates it states that I have the latest version? Even the Sandboxie website states that 4.12 is the latest version...

4.12 is the latest final release.
4.13.4 is beta, available at the Sandboxie forum.

Bo I do not see "Allow direct access to Windows Font Cache" anywhere in the applications list.

silat, assuming you're actually using the latest 4.13.4 Beta (?), it's there under Applications > Miscellaneous (of course All Applications too).

In other news, after exactly 40 hours now, SbieSvc's GuiProxy memory usage has remained steady and low! :thumb: :-* :thumb: Unfortunately Port handles are still leaking (don't even need an hour to see that). While that doesn't affect anything but Handle count that I know of (unlike the couple killer leaks now solved), it should be addressed, but I don't have anything else to give :ouch: (I've gone above and beyond with info for everything else ).

Not sure I agree. Tzuk spent so much time supporting some of the none security uses, that he wasn't able to fix some of the issues. Sandboxie is now more secure than before, that to me is vital.
