Please provide steps or immediate courses of action when you get a BSOD. I downloaded an antimalware program recently and within five minutes the computer went into BSOD. I couldn't make out the error warning, it went away too fast. Anyway, what steps generally should be taken when this happens?
Hi jjc225 Right click Computer Icon> Properties> Advanced System Settings> Settings> [and uncheck] Automatically restart. Then the next time you have a BSOD it will not stop at [on the] BSOD give you time to write down the error warning [number], then you can reboot or shut down manually. Take Care TheQuest

This will allow you more time to note that error numbers.
jjc225, Contact the Antimalware company, either through their forum or contact page, and ask if the BSOD is a known issue. They may ask to see the file (best to zip it up) If the BSOD happens after installing some type of security software, uninstalling the software may be a good idea until you find out more info.
It's not entirely unusual for new aggressive software to give a BSOD after initial installation. If the BSOD's continue, it's the software, as Stapp said, contact the vendor and let them know. They will probably want the dump file from you to assist as to why the BSOD. Keep us posted.
Check out this: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html That'll give you a rundown of what probably caused the BSOD. It could be hardware related, bad BIOS settings, a bad driver, malware or something else. Post the blue screen view information and we can go from there.
