Funny thing is google doesn't have an reporting system for that. Other people are fighting that also.

Seems google relys on antivirus vendors for reporting. I gather that from what I've read in their forums.

I'll keep looking into it. :)

    Thank you

You're welcome. It did seem very odd considering Google probably have the internet fully mapped by now and should know your app already. ;)

I just tried to download it and everything looks ok now. I'm guessing the new versions cause that.

    Program Update: Antivirus Remover 2.23

    Added: GUI tweaks
Added: Right click menu now has a "Show installed Antivirus Software"
Added: At start Antivirus Remover will search for installed Antivirus and Auto Select it for you.

Note: the Auto select feature will need some tweaking, If it doesn't work for you let me know so I can fix it.

    thank you
    Brock

Ok looks like chrome doesn't like direct links to Dropbox. So I changed the link so you will directed to softpedia website for antivirus remover.

On a side note I googled antivirus remover and I'm really surprised how many reviews and people recommending it. Ive even found people created tutorials for antivirus remover.

That tells you it's a good idea! :)

Have a small problem. v 2.23 gives me a Dot Net framework error,,, an unhandled exception error if I remember correctly. The program locks, and I have to close it with the Task Manager. I guess that's a big problem actually. Thanks!

Would you mind sending the full error log ? Send it in a pm. Just click details button on the error and copy the text of the error in the pm.

That will help me out. I'm not seeing this error.

    Thank you

    thank you,

Seems the issue was because of Softpedia used a really old version and not the download link I gave them. Kind of upsetting because this give me a bad name and the product it self as being really buggy. when it not.

    thank you

Got the file directly from you, and it works now. Many thanks! You're right, about Softpedia. They have honorable intentions and are an excellent site, but their volume is humongous. I can forgive them for an occasional version SNAFU. Maybe you could protect yourself and your users by adding the version number to the file or Zip package.

I think an "Auto Mode" to detect and remove orphan bits of "uninstalled" AVs would be nice. Some people have used several AV's, many of which they have long forgotten.

Im looking to add in the future a feature that will scan you computer for file using Keywords like ESET for example and it will list every file and Dir that will involve that, There will be no removing because of a fear of FP, I don't have the time or resources to manage that.

hope that helps and give you an idea of what im looking to do. Maybe in the future I can think of a way to manage with deletion of files but right now I will work on file system then look into the registry for left overs but that is still up to debate.

    thank you
