Hello, many thanks for your support! Today i found a software with similar features with Privazer, it called Moo0 Anti-Recovery (http://www.moo0.com/software/AntiRecovery) and it do a good job for me. My question is should i run MAR along with Privazer for enhanced security, or just one is enough? Thanks in advance
Hello, all features are part of PrivaZer which erases additionally : - useless files - USN entries, - $Logfiles entries - internet traces + Webcache - useless registry entries - Indexing - RAM, etc. PrivaZer can erase securely recoverable file "names" not only on NTFS but also on FAT drives. PrivaZer erases the free space "smartly" (only where it is needed) which speeds up the process. Hope it helps.
Hello rebelscum0000, New PrivaZer updates will come in September. Thanks for your support, patience and your donations.
Hello, it seems that whenever PrivaZer 2.22.0 runs, after completing Cleanup it re-enables the Windows Search service (WSearch) which I have disabled on my W7HPx64 machine. Can you please have PrivaZer leave that alone, which it now resets to "Automatic (Delayed)". A minor issue: I have donated and applied my license code, but PrivaZer does still frequently display the "Get the Donors version" orange button and payment icons. I can't pin-down the exact circumstances sorry.
Hello laserfan, 1. we will investigate and fix this issue concerning the Indexing service 2. do you use PrivaZer portable version ?
Hmmm yes I believe I had DL'ed the portable version. I will try also the PrivaZer_for_donors.exe that was in the link you emailed me when I donated. EDIT: I see I've been missing-out on some cool right-click-empty-without-a-trace features. I will work with this installed version from here forward, thank you.
I hope you guys deliver on this. Its pretty much a main thing I see lacking with this interesting software.
Until we hear from TPT dogbite AFAICT the "Donors version" just makes the For Donors stuff go-away onscreen i.e. there are no functional differences. At least, that is all I was looking to do when I donated (and to reward TPT for maintaining the cool software).
Need an option to not show the dialog every time for right-clicking on a file and choosing "Delete without a trace".
Hello laserfan, we will do it. Added on our roadmap. btw, new version v2.23 released : http://privazer.com/downloadupdate.php Donors version here : http://privazer.com/download-donors.php Changelog : - Improved Windows log cleanup - Improved speed of web browsers cleanup - Improved Firefox cleanup - Improved Chrome cleanup - Improved Opera cleanup - Improved Sqlite compacting - Added support of Pale Moon - Added support of Cyberfox and more is still to come... Thanks to @all
Hi after latest update is "detection of traces in free space of encrypted drives will be supported soon." still not working is going to be ? Peter
With 2.23 scanned my D:\ Data and cleaned, during the free sector clean Privazer makes a temporary folder ~00~ with uses up to 300 gb! Please explain.
Hello, Peters4000, sorry but this is hard to say. We will do our best to implement it as soon as possible. M0rriss0n, when securely cleaning free space, temporary files are created to overwrite all free sectors with random data to prevent from recovery. Those files are created by PrivaZer in a particular temporary directory C:\~00~ or in your case, D:\~00~. When completed, this directory that can occupy 300 GB (if you have 300 GB free space) is automatically removed by PrivaZer so that you recover your entire free space ! Hope it helps.
hi I have "lost" my Privazer short cut icon, did a search but cannot find. Can you tell me where to look please
@The_PrivaZer_Team Could you add the following? Somewhere on the UI : An indicator that lets the user know, the last time they performed a PrivaZer clean. Like this... "Last PrivaZer clean: Wednesday, September 24, 2014" Sometimes I forget when the last time I did a cleanup and thought this might be a nice touch to PrivaZer. I don't know, what do you think?
What's the status on command-line support? I would be willing to pay a moderate fee for a pro key that gave me command-line support with switches, so I could incorporate privatize into a shutdown.bat file/powershell script.
