Lol, just realised that my ISP is a censorship barbarian. It even blocked Imgur. :thumbd: I'll be back to OpenDNS.

Really, was it even this aggressive before? It's been quite a long time since the last time I used my ISP's DNS. Been on various alternative DNSes for all this long. :cautious:

Thank you for your explanation! I was planning to add light antivirus with my PGS setup, and Avast would be better choice, so just curios about the settings.
Installed it and running fine now. I added the folder as shown in picture:

  7. Time to ask an Avast expert or an UK/US native to explain the text: I have it exactly the other way around

Currently only using NoScript to control active web contents, OpenDNS for web filtering (and bypassing censorship ), Windows firewall block all inbounds and my router's SPI + NAT firewall, UAC set to always notify, DEP applied to all software, disabled unneeded services and features, and some little hardening tweaks (without involving GPE and regedit). And Macrium serves as my trump card. These should be enough for my needs, but I wonder if I should add a mystery guest into the team. :ninja:

Who is this mystery guest? :cautious:

It wouldn't be a mystery anymore if I reveal who is the secret character, would it? :ninja: Well okay, I was thinking if I would just install that for added security. Still considering the advantage vs disadvantage factors, and whether if I really need it or not. I like the concept though. I might permanently add it or I might just drop this idea like other ideas I've thought but didn't manage to pass my judgements. The name of the software is...

Hey, you got owned! Congratulations! :argh:

hehehe. Did you infect my system when I opened up Spoiler? :) Otherwise you don't need another app installed. Nice to see you feel safe with no SRP enabled ;)

Uninstalled Private firewall. Using Windows firewall only with router. The rest is in the signature with Sandboxie, the leader of the pack. :)

Can I use Binisoft's WFC alongside Webroots firewall?

  23. Yes, but you can also increase the security level of the firewall (one up is warn for all untrusted, two up warn for every program going outbound).

Thanks, I am trying the first one (one up is warn for all untrusted).
