How do I protect my PC from VNC intrusion

then I googled how to shut down that service on Win 7.

I learned I needed to block ports in Windows Firewall but Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 is running in its place.

How can I make sure noone can take over my PC using VNC?

 

This is why I rip out so many pieces of windows that I never use, if it isn't there, it can't be a problem for me later. >< Looking forward to nuhi's new software to aid me in that endeavor.

I'm not familiar with "VNC" but it seems like they are talking about the RDP (remote desktop protocol) services. I suppose it could be something added by OEM's that preforms a similar function even less securely. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge in the area will chime in. I just update, remove the related files from the image, then block access from within gpedit.msc followed by a sysprep and then 7lite the thing atm.

 

locking ports is NOT the solutiuon if you have read carefully - anyhow the article gave a solution:

6. run VNC as LUA (run as resticted user while you are on admin, you need to create a windows LUA )

 

You don't install VNC server or you uninstall it if you have it on your computer.
