Security Program That Fits This Criteria?

    Right now I am safe against exploits/drive-by downloads thanks to AppGuard, and HitmanPro.Alert is keeping me safe from keyloggers stealing info, and other stuff. Bitdefender TrafficLight and Norton DNS are keeping me from a good number of malicious sites, but I'd like something that would automatically scan downloaded files, without using definitions, so not an antivirus. What would work, or is there anything else you'd recommend for my setup other than an antivirus?

    HI Brandonn

    First do you realize Appguard can also protect your data. As far as keyloggers being a threat, how do you think one would get installed. Either you do it accidently or Appguard will also prevent that from happening. As to the downloading, what do you want to scan for ,and how do you think it would work with out definitions. This is one of the reasons I like to fun Emsisoft's Antimalware. It will alert on a bad file you try to download. So does Bitdefender AV, but I don't know of any other way.

    Crystal Security checks files in default temp and download directory automatically at VT when in "intrusion detection" mode. You are supposed to add other folders as well, but there is a bug which prevents to save the settings.

    I'd considered Crystal Security, but isn't it still in beta? What about a VirusTotal uploader tht would allow me to right-click a downloaded file and upload it? I know there are multiple ones. What one is best?

    You can use official Virustotal Uploader. In Chrome you'll have to upload file manually.
