    Hey Securon, aren't WSA Security Plus and Eset SS7 both antivirus, so your running 2 active AV's??

    Thats two, two......two mints in one.

    Good Evening! Digmor! I believe WSA is classified as a Complimentary Anti-Malware...Product meant too compliment your Anti Virus Product. That's always been the philosophy from a development and marketing standpoint...initially included with Prevx and continued with Webroot. So in summary...one mint will do! Sincerely...Securon

    Sadly enough I don´t like any of the HIPS (behavior blockers) that are available for Win 8.

    Anti-exe: EXE Radar Pro
    Anti-exploit: HitmanPro.Alert
    Firewall: TinyWall
    Sandbox: Sandboxie
    Scanner: VirusTotal Uploader
    HIPS: ?

    Most of the forum volunteers are just running the WSA Complete version alone now. Initially it was promoted to run alongside another AV if desired and still does, but doesn't seem to be necessary now. I run it solo with Win7 FW. :thumb:

    My current security setup:

    OS is Windows 8.1 Update x64 with all updates installed.
    UEFI secure boot is enabled.
    I have configured Software restriction policies. All software files (including DLLs) are monitored. SRP are enabled for all users.
    I use Administrator user account and have User account control set to maximum.
    Computer is behind router with firewall. Windows firewall is also enabled for incoming connections.

    Google Chrome setup:
    I have all privacy related options disabled.
    I use two extensions: µBlock and Classic blue theme.
    All other extensions are blocked and have to be whitelisted before installing.
    Plugins are set to click-to-play. Third party cookies are disabled and all cookies are deleted when I close the browser.
    Google Apps are uninstalled and unneeded plugins are disabled.

    Other security tools:
    I use Macrium Reflect Standard for daily incremental backup of my system. I copy system backup images and other personal data to external HDD.
    For on-demand antimalware scan I use: HitmanPro, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Avira PC Cleaner and Emsisoft Emergency Kit.
    I also use other on-demand security related tools.

    WebrootSA AV and Sandboxie are keeping me out of trouble. But WSA on its own might be enough.

    Okay I run debian on my laptop - it's fast, slim and secure enough with no virus problems and no slow downs.
    My GF runs windows. I switched my girlfriend's AV from FortiClient to Panda after the first one got disabled after an infection... Also using Malwarebytes, Emisoft Emergency and Adawarecleaner for removing crap. Does pretty good job. Not 100% but good enough. HMP still found some remnants but I don't feel like paying 14.99....

    It's all in my signature... I've been using these products for about 5 years, initially with XP, and now with W7. I really don't understand why Norton gets little respect on Wilders, I find it very light on system resources and it does its job extremely well. Working together with Shadow Defender nothing comes in or goes out unless I want it to! ;)
