I'll start taking them more seriously when they can develop a user friendly graph. I still can't believe that thing has been acceptable for all these years.

And what's wrong with this one? You have two axis and you just look for both where it's positioned. Very simple to read. The closer it is to the upper right corner, the better.

At least there's not the usual whining about the colors. Yet.

    Anyhow...

The Proactive RAP metrics of 92% average and 94.6% Set+1 for PC Matic (Vipre + in house) is interesting.

I wonder why they continue in testing Win7 32 bit?? They did that in August, 2013 and for December, Win8.1 was 64 bit.

Oh well, still an interesting report and full thing is now... FREE. Thanks VB!

This ,like the rest of the testing sites do provide useful feedback. I always say look for a common thread that shows ones at or near the top and you cant go wrong.

Anon, there's enough confusion caused by an x-y plot, now you're wanting to throw in a chart with... numbers?! Have you no mercy? :D

I wonder why people in India still trust and use Quick Heal! It is costlier than Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Dr. Web, Trustport, eScan, ESET etc in India and it is well proven that it is just a average/below average antivirus. Somehow they achieve VB100 award most of the times and promote on the basis on that. They are not careful at all in improve the product and rather interested in aggressive marketing.

Nice to see that Free products like Fortinet, Roboscan doing well.

Btw, how can a company brand a antivirus as "MyPCWash"!

Good Afternoon! From a Practical Joke standpoint...have VB...reverse the Graph...so you have to do a Headstand...to check out the Result's...Lol! As Trjam mentioned you merely scan the top left to right...and Presto...no more Headstand...Outta Sight!...Lol! Sincerely...Securon

I like the graphic representation which makes it immediately clear, who is doing well and who is`nt.

Perhaps if you can imagine the graph as red strawberry lollipops placed on a tablecloth, then accordingly the higher and to the right on the tablecloth that the lollipop is placed then the better it is for that particular antivirus product immediately adjacent the lollipop.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards Eck:)

G-Data really kicked ass in that test.

What a great piece of software.

I have no issues seeing where the dots are plotted out, that isn't the issue. My eyes have trouble differentiating which red dot is which product, since you've basically got the follow the line to the dot. It's just not as user friendly as AV-C or AV-Test. I don't see why anyone would defend it. At least the full test is free now and I gleaned as much information as I needed from it.

  16. Avast? Rezjor do you have some background info on Avast (I know not related but you are usually well informed when it comes to Avast)

People are too gullible , the IT people say quickheal is the best and so they use it , obviously the IT people would be getting a huge profit from selling quickheal so they just feed on noobs

Imo we should have a look at details of the test before drawing conclusions

Granted that VB can be a bit confusing when the dots are bunched up but I see it as a breath of fresh air compared to the usual bargraphy results display.

Anyway as you say yourself it`s now free and you can glean the information needed.........immediately.

It's a superb graph that communicates a lot of information in a very compact way.

I do not agree. I do not agree with the premise of the graph showing real time and proactive. I think they should be a combined percentage that is put on a standard graph that is easy to differentiate which program is which and how it scored.

I'll just butt out of the thread completely. I care little for VB testing practice or graphs and I'll just stick to AV-C. Superb website, testing, layout, etc.
