i got a lifetime license years ago, used it for awhile, then gave it to a Wilders member.

it's a good software but i have no use for it.
beside, no matter what i tried, i could not save bookmarks in the Bookmark Bar.

it's been my experience that using security software always introduces inconveniences for the user in one way or another.

I have a lifetime license, but I have no need for Sandboxie. I use Shadow Defender for virtualization and AppGuard for policy restriction.

I have been using it everyday on every computer I own since the day I bought it in 2010.
My security set up since that day has been Sandboxie and then some other stuff.

Sorry but I don't generally engage in private conversations. I prefer to post publicly, so that everyone gets a chance to join in and share their views. In the past, I have received requests for pirated software and sharing of license keys, so I no longer engage in private conversions, the exceptions being forum moderators and developers of software that I use.

Please don't take offence, because none is intended.

Pegr, not everyone who uses PM does it for the reasons you mention above. A few days ago, I wanted to point out to you via PM something that you wrote about SBIE that was way way off base so you could fix it. It was disappointing not to be able to tell you about it.

From a security perspective, Sandboxie is pretty much redundant on my system. For me, it's of greater value as an additional privacy enhancement.

Sure, why not? On-demand though, because I don't find it realistically necessary when your system and programs are already secure.

Yep – it was one of the first security programs I installed (even though I'd never heard of it before)

I use it forced on all browsers.

I was also a long time Sandboxie user but any more. Ever since Tzuk is no longer at the helm, and a few issues with it since his departure i no longer rely on it, Still a fantastic piece of software and one i will use from time to time pending on my current security setup, but it will be no longer the center of my security strategy.

I was a hard core user and admirer of SBIE
my browser, media players, image viewer, USBs, several folders... all forced to run sandboxed

but after Tzuk left things were not the same
first I don't trust the new owners
second I started to have issues, freezes, crashes
    that was it, I uninstalled

SBIE was something different in the security world, unique
    now it's just another app
