Same hash here for v.519. BTW, v.519 has been rock solid for me on XP.

    Bro - I believe.

    I've come up empty!

Can only say the obvious - go with the current download whose hash is the same as others.

    -cheers,

I was a 1.1.0.325 user as I regarded that as the 'classic' version without bells or whistles but when I took into consideration the security issues that people brought to the forums I moved on to Shadow Defender 1.4.0.519
50584f927a69a1fecc234c3d7b05ebf4 and I wouldn't return to 1.1.0.325, (although it served me well).
1.1.0.325 doesn't have track0 virtualization and it was Wendi's idea to ask Tony to put it in the latest version 1.4.0.519 to fill a security hole, which he did.
I don't fully understand the track0 virtualization myself, only that it makes Shadow Defender more secure.
I have used Shadow Defender 1.4.0.519 heavily since it's release and I find it very stable.

I have one tiny glitch and it might be unique to me. Every now and again after leaving Shadow Mode my Windows XP (I think it's called a 'theme') reverts to Windows standard look on re-boot into non Shadow Mode Windows, in that my start menu and colours etc go to those standard default Windows colours.
That is the only fly in my ointment...otherwise it's perfectly functional.
A re-boot changes Windows back to my chosen colours and settings etc.
I don't know why it happens but it also happened in 1.1.0.325.

Yes, build 519 is the most secure SD ever, so kudos to Wendi for suggesting MBR & Track0 virtualization. Btw, in concert with Wendi's request I asked Tony if (at the same time) he would include virtualization of the System Reserved Partition in Windows (after XP). This ensures that Windows important Boot Configuration Data file which, in Win7, is located inside the SRP would also be protected. Tony accomplished that request as well in build 519, all of which happens automatically whenever the C-volume is placed into shadow mode. :thumb:

Well done The Shadow, I didn't realise that you'd had one of your requests fulfilled in Shadow Defender 1.4.0.519 :)

They are blocking me because I am connected to PIA. That's not good.

Yes thanks for explaining that. I should have been more clear. I am running a VPN (Private Internet Access). The forum blocks this VPN. I have checked any other ones yet.

I am running PIA (OpenVPN, not their client) as well and can access the forum.

    Moose World,

You shouldn't experience any problems with SD build 519, but it's always a good idea to make an image-backup before installing any new software! ;)

    The Shadow,

Could you provide the link, please! for SD Build 519?
    Is a 30 days trail?

Hoping that with Windows 8.1.1 X64 Bits O.S. Just making
    sure.

There will not be any problems.

Yes, it is a fully functional 30-day trial.

Yes, I would disable fast-boot. As I suggested before, while I don't expect SD will cause problems, make an image-backup of your system volume before doing anything else just to be safe!

Anyone have any thoughts on this possible set up:

Windows Defender + Adguard Premium + Shadow Defender (full time)

That depends on your computing 'venues', but based on my past experience with MSE/WD (as well as independent tests), I would opt for a stronger AV-AS.

I am no longer blocked. Before it said my IP was on a forum spam list, or something like that. But I can access it now.

Regarding access to The Official Shadow Defender Forum. If I am at all concerned about an ip from a person who is trying to register, I usually do a who-is and a simple search of the ip in Google and if it comes up with spam offences on a ip address then I will block it. I'm guessing that sometimes if people are using a proxy that has caused spammy offence everywhere they may not know but it will be blocked. If by any chance you find yourself the innocent victim of my 'system' then email me at sdforumATprotonmail.ch.
That is my guess as to what is happening, sometimes.
Another problem is non English speakers not being able to get through the forum registration process. Problem for me is...if I loosen up the registration process too much then I get flooded with spam.

MW, can you be more specific re the 'SD bug' to which you are referring (when using W8's fast-boot)?
