I've only just noticed the GMX makeover. Looks a lot better IMO, could be a decent alternative now.

As long as they fixed all those problems in changing password, etc.

Well actually I had problems with them, for whatever reason I was never able to change my password. Any change was always rejected. Then I found some people had the same problem. I gave up and switched to another provider.
It was some time ago and it was not my primary email address, though.

I haven't had that problem, but once my entire contacts disappeared, luckily there weren't many of them anyway. I've heard about others who have experienced that particular glitch. I think it can be a good back-up mail site though.

You can use GMX with your own client. I've been using it forever, never had a problem.

Did you know that you can access MediaCenter through WebDAV?

Yes, a year or so ago. Also they had some problems with the password recovery mechanism that was not working at all. I hope they solved it by now, though...

I hope so. I used to use gmx a lot, but not so much these days. My brother, who used to live in Germany, has used it for years.

Exactly my experience (two weeks ago)... Really frustrating, although my main email choice is Gmail which has always worked flawlessly no matter what its detractors say...
