Firefox throws this pop-up message in some pages, I find it very annoying.

"This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved."

How can this be stopped oh script gurus of Wilders? Specific step by step instructions would very much be appreciated.

So that post is almost 2 1/2 years old. Any solutions since then?

Try NoScript. If you get popups like that in pages you visit regularly and there is a script thats causing it, try to figure out which one is and untrust it/blacklist. This can be a good solution for you if after doing that you are still able to login, use the site.

I don't know how bad this problem is since I haven't seen one of this annoying messages in a long time. And even though I allow scripts temporarily on many sites, its been years since I seen one of this messages. So I know NoScript is doing something.

I guess that might be a solution, thanks. But I hate it, I surf all over the place & having to blacklist sites as they come up is a pita. I am looking for an all in one/once fix.

I hate that pop-up. I never give a site like that another click and always kill the browser in Task Manager when I see it. Yes, doing so will also kill all other open tabs and pages, but I don't care. I'll open a new browser and start fresh.

That first week of adding your most used sites to the whitelist is a pain, but after that you rarely ever have to mess with it.

Wish that were so but it's not. I go to hundreds if not thousands of unique urls a week.
