I hope this is useful to someone. I didn't purchase it, just went through the motions to see what the total would be. For me, the total is $16.00 (1 year /1 pc) and $36.00 (3 year/ 1 pc). Don't forget to remove the prechecked, 'Panda Virus Removal Assurance' @ $6.99 if you don't want it.

This link doesn't seem to work with bigger packages. But there is a 50% off link for 'all' packages on the Panda Website.

    This coupon code gives 50% off anything, regardless of package, or license amount;

    Buggy junk, installed.

    1) Random CPU spikes, even on a totally clean test machine.
    2) 18-22% application launch slowdowns.
    3) Installation of 'extraneous' rubbish (like a password manager that doesn't uninstall with the product).
    4) Broken uninstaller that leaves 355 traces, and crashes at the end.

Panda, you simply fail, and have consistently failed - year after year. At least you are consistent with the fails.

When you first install Panda it creates a cache database of the files on your machine, how long were the CPU spikes lasting? Also if the uninstaller crashes they do have an uninstall tool that can be used to remove files left behind with a crashed uninstall

Also just as a suggestion before you buy the next AV try the trials first it saves a lot of pain in the end. Some AVs react differently to others setup. I have tried AVs that everyone else has said runs perfect and light only to find it react horribly on my machine. I have used some AV products that everyone hates without issues on my machine. Each PC is different and trials save lots of money in the long run :)

Refunds are easy these days. If those aren't possible a chargeback is a click away. I tend to purchase if they run 'OK' on a test machine, and I find a good deal. But that can be a mistake as we see from this case. But a quick email to billing for Panda should result in a refund by Monday afternoon. A few hundo sitting out there isn't going to cause me grief when it will eventually come back into the account.

Good Morning! I have a previous post...in which Panda refused a refund on their Cloud Pro A\V...their U.S.A.Office simply stated they aren't involved in any way with The Product and Supporting or Issuing Refunds to dissatisfied Customers. I believe the Office in mention is run by a Small Ineffectual Third Party Vendor...in a Nut Shell Consumer Beware! I have put Panda on my Blacklist of Companies I Simply Refuse To Deal With. Customer Support and Service is Everything in My Eyes...once the Care Bond has been Broken...my Business with that Company is also Broken. Sincerely...Securon

Refunds are simple if you use a company like Discover Card. I click 'this product didn't live up to my expectations', and within an hour I am credited back, a CS agent calls to verify, and then they charge back the vendor. It's so simple, and effective that if a vendor even 'balks' for a second on a refund, I click a button and deal with it myself. Panda will get the click if I don't hear back within the next couple of business days.

As for testing, just general windows operation. But once I stuck it on a real world machine, with 400-500 games installed, and lots of 'stuff' going on Panda choked down pretty hard, and started acting up. It's all well to test on a clean test machine, but when deployed to a real working environment some products simply don't measure up. I don't have the time to diagnose it, I put about 1-2 hours into tweaking to see if I could fix it, but Panda still acted funky on it, so I removed it. Lesson learned, at least it was deployed to only ONE actual machine beyond the test one, so it's all good. My deployment is usually test machine -> single working machine -> rest of the machines.

Well Panda claims they need 'time' to investigate my refund, despite my request of it within a few hours of purchasing it. So unfortunately Securon is correct, Panda is bad business.. Oh well, I need to login to my CC company and 'click' a button.. /yawn

Panda senior customer support just emailed me and said "We don't issue refunds, under any circumstances"..

LOL REALLY? In this day and age? So I logged into Discover Card website, clicked on the button that gives me the money back. Panda is through for me. Never again are they in contention for much of anything. It's so simple to issue refunds and turn off keys these days, in the old days you had to uninstall, then sign a 'writ of destruction' and fax it back, and get it approved. These days they can knock a key out of a database with a single click, and keep their customer satisfaction levels high. Panda should be ashamed. Now they refund me, and pay a $40 chargeback fee. Good going!

Looking at older posts from Pbust as he was at Panda the policy was you had to have a support ticket open first for them first to attempt to correct the issue before they would issue a refund. However that might has changed to a no refunds policy. If you feel the need I would recommend sending you comments to Panda Securitys management team with your feelings on the refund policy so they may be noted in their biz practices.

Looking at most other AVs you have 30 days after purchase for a no questions asked refund so it would be worth nothing that as you contact them. The only other security vendor I have seen was GFI had a no refund policy but I dont know if thats continued over now that its been spun off as ThreatTrack

I had it escalated through technical support, then through billing support. Billing support said quite simply 'Under no conditions do we refund.'. That was after no resolution with technical support, simply saying 'We will implement fixes in upcoming versions.'.. Wow.. How do they stay in business?

Good Evening! In the light that Spain is in an Economic Crisis...I'm simply astounded at the Ignorance and Arrogance...if Panda continues to treat their Customer with such Distain...they simply won't be around, the company a Victim of it's own Indifference. Sincerely...Securon

I apologize once again that they were unable to refund you. I thought I could fwd this thread to management however the last CEO I had contact with in Panda was Juan Suantana and looking online when he left Panda with through a downturn having to lay off 35 percent off their staff the end of 2011 so I don't have the correct place to contact.

If I find an exeuctive to contact with your thoughts I'll pass it along however until then I am glad you were able to get a refund from your credit card

I've used Panda Cloud Free in the past for a while on my netbook, but I can't see purchasing products if there is a no refund policy.

Terms and Conditions show 30 days. The agreement is between Nexway and the customer.

This is the T&C from the 60% off link I posted above. I don't understand why they won't abide by this.

They will not honor it, as Securon noted. I was shocked to find this to the case. I was told only if a license was never activated/used during product installation would they refund it, and was referred to technical support to work through issues. Fortunately DiscoverCard has a robust consumer protection system in place, which is why I use it, and why some vendors won't take it. IMO Discover is the most essential card to own. It's ludicrous they wouldn't simply refund my order, given it was clearly charged on Discover, and virtually all vendors should be aware of Discovers policy as they signed up to accept the card.. Oh well - Panda was dealt with by a simple click - PRESTO - refund issued.

Unhappy with a purchase? Now you can return your Discover card purchase within 90 days — regardless of the original store's policy — and we'll refund the cost of the item up to $500.

    https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/member-benefits/extended-warranty.html
No need to worry about expired warranties. Discover will extend the terms of a purchased or manufacturer's warranty for up to 1 additional year.

Shop with confidence now. Don't miss out on the sale price later. If you see an item you purchased at any store at a lower price within 90 days, Discover will cover the difference.
