This means internal update or Program Component Update are not available for this software release.

Please use the posted links to manually update your software.

Thanks for the update. I went ahead and performed a clean install and as always, smooth sailing. Care and high quality go into NOD32.

A pity when they have a nice internal update system that it isn't used.
With some other softwares they don't send the update to users, but when users manually click the search for updates, it does get the program update.
This prevents from the update being rolled out to everyone and is convenient.

Yes, I always do the same. Uninstall - reboot - new install - configuration. It takes less then 15 minutes and it doesn't happen frequently, so it's not a big deal for me.

However discussions on the product are more than welcome on this forum here at Wilders.

Eset still doesn't have some very basic things working such as notifying users when maximum protection is not enabled.

See: Why does the Protection status icon change color and what does each color mean?

Unfortunately - I can't help you with that as I'm not ESET support.
Perhaps another user will chime in to assist you with this. As to why you seemingly would disable certain components of the software in order to determine if the action would be flagged is unknown to me. I would defer your query to ESET support if you desire an official response to this.

I'm sure it is unknown to you. The point is the software isn't working correctly and Marcos from Eset said this is a bug.

You probably misunderstood me. I'm aware that I acknowledged a bug when Anti-Phishing protection didn't get enabled after re-enabling protection via the tray icon context menu. This was fixed in this service build.
The 2 mentioned options do not serve to protect users from malware and some users may want or need to keep them disabled without being warned about disabled protection.
I'd suggest to continue the discussion re. features or bugs at ESET's official forum as we don't visit this forum on a frequent basis.

I saw no mention of this bug being fixed in the change log. That should be added to the change log.

What's the reasoning behind not updating via automatic updates? When I install software I assume it's going to be updated automatically. Fortunately, for myself, I saw the service release posted here, and now I have updated to the latest version.

I am a paid subscriber, and I did not get any email notification from Eset, or any type of notification period that there was a service release update that I had to download. Is there anything the Eset folks can do to assure that users of their software get proper notification?

Where is it then? I don't see any mention of the Anti-Phishing protection bug being resolved.

The bug may and probably is fixed as already cited - but not specifically worded in the changelog.

Yes, it is fixed. I was just informing Eset that they need to add it to the changelog. Marcos said it was listed in the changelog, but it is not.
