It's always amusing when agencies fight each other ;)

I've read about a case where an FBI SWAT team raided a DOD nuclear weapons facility. But I don't think that the FCC has many "men with guns".

PS Men with Guns is a great documentary about ethnic cleansing in Guatemala, by the way.

Endless, unwanted phone calls from who knows what are not amusing. Think of it as spam sent directly to your phone.
Not likely, but I would hope the rest of these spammers are caught as well.

Yes, phone spam is not amusing. Text spam is even worse, especially if you pay per text :(

At home, I just rely on text-to-voice caller ID. There are Android and iPhone apps for that, which I would have if I had one of those tracking devices ;)

Back in the day, I would threaten telephone marketers with my trusty autodialer :D

Amusing it is not! I'm still getting calls from the usual suspect countries offering to fix my computer. These come in batches of about 3. They let up for a bit then they're at it again. I am heartily sick of it. What am I missing? Surely the phone companies could really track these lowlifes down if they really wanted to?

Early one morning recently the tech support spam hit my phone as well.
This mumbling guy was telling me that my computer has lots of infections.
I decided to play the game for a while.
I asked what the infections that he sees are in the warnings he sees.
He said he can't tell until he connects to my computer.
    I asked again and again.
He kept repeating they're getting warnings about several infections and he sees right now the warnings keep coming in.
I asked what firm he's working for. He cannot tell me but it's for a security company. Which company - not allowed to tell.
Please read me the warning, I tried again.
No answer to that, but once I give him the password then he will be able to tell me exactly what the infection is.
I asked what my IP is and how exactly he plans to connect.
    Click. He hanged up.

Regarding Do Not Call List - I don't think it works anymore. Dozens of calls from Unknowns or Unavailables on out caller ID display, and tons of voice messages to buy driveway sealers, siding, windows, security systems ... never ends. They use my phone line for free. Perhaps there should be a law that they have to pay.

I only answer when I recognize the caller ID -- and sometimes I especially don't answer when I do ;)

Also, I can't hear the phone unless I'm at my desk.
