A conflict between two great programs.

Hopefully that can be worked out.

    PM sent!

I'm glad to hear Emisoft team is working so hard to get rid of similar issues. I'm sure as soon as you get more logs from my computer that you'll be able to pinpoint my issue and fix it!

I'm running EIS 9, Sandboxie, AppGuard and WSA (will get rid of WSA on my gaming rig as soon as EIS 9 is stable). No problems except for the issues with broken network connection every now and then!

Thanks for letting me know. :)

Btw, I already said this years ago, but it would be nice if some more technical details were given about certain monitored actions, like: "watch for back-door activity" or "watch for key-logger activity". I would like to know what exactly is being blocked, for example global/window hooks or accepting incoming network connections.

Most alerts can't be reduced to a simple logic like that. In fact, the list of possible behaviors is going away sometime after 9.0, primarily because the reason for the alert can no longer be broken down into categories with some of the new behavior blocking components I am working on. However, we do plan to replace those category with something different. It is too early to talk about specifics yet though.

It's not that they don't work together, but the combination causes some severe delays during boot. It can be fixed by just excluding the processes involved in MBAM's real time protection in EAM/EIS though.

I know of at least one case where WSA caused the connection issue. It appears at least some editions will enable the Windows firewall even though EIS is installed, causing connectivity issues in the process. Not sure if it applies to your setup though.

    Hi Fabian,

may just I suggest you to add something like a wallet or a password manager - I found it very useful ;-) and EIS would be absolutely perfect ;-)

    Best regards,
    Laurent

i dont think it will happen, it is considered as "bloat features" and Emsisoft is going to the "bloatless" way.

just use Lastpass on you browser and you will have same result.

It was a suggestion :isay: ;) and perhaps not a really useful one...
You're right, Lastpass is indeed a great piece of software ;-)

Installed beta on 6th (alongside WSA and Privatefirewall, W7 32-bit), on a Trial license, and license was counting down correctly, until today...and it's now saying there are 29 days left, and I'm only seeing this error since this evening.
Just to let you know, thanks :)

Not just yet via auto-update I assume? I haven't recieved it even though I just manually updated and have ticked the "Update to beta" checkbox. :)

    Note from Christian:
New beta builds will be available as setup only within Emsisoft forum first. When they turn out to be stable enough, we will publish the files via online updates to the public too. So please don't turn on beta updates when installing the new setup unless you prefer to downgrade to the previous public beta build.

We make a conscious effort to keep bloat out of our products and focus on the things we are good at. So it is very unlikely that we will add such a feature.
