No prompt to reboot in my Win 8.1.1 x64, but something is broken though. I get an error message when I try to click on 'Program Groups' in any sandbox, old and new alike.

ASLR enabled for all binaries. :thumb: I hope that this doesn't break things. Will wait to see feedback.

I ran my XP very hard last night, I even watched the Braves:cool: beat the Cardinals online and all went well with this new beta. I tried all programs and sandboxes that I use in XP as well as in my W7 and it looks very good.

.5 working well for me on 8.1 x64 and Win 7 x 64. No issues others are facing with Programme Groups or SBIE Control window corruption other have reported.:thumb:

Updated libraries and DEP / ASLR are a good step in the right direction for me.

The issues that some users were having should be fixed now.

Last version I installed was 4.09.01. It's still the one I'm using.
I have not been as eager to install betas since tzuk left town.

I also have 4.09.05 on my main box. No issues at all.

The 4.09.05 has already been revised and the new version fixes the mentioned issues.

Yeah, I find that a bit odd. Why not 4.09.06? Might only be minor tweaks but it's a different version. Anyway........

I can understand that but 4.09.05 (and .4 before it) is running much better for me than earlier versions of 4.09. Worth a try at least to take advantage of the new libraries and exploit mitigation on the SBIE processes?

    cheers

That makes sense, Chris, and thanks for the suggestion, but as I just mentioned to Bo on another thread, I don't have enough faith in Invincea to put their betas on my computers. That is not as much a swipe at Invincea as it is a tribute to tzuk, as his were the only beta programs that I installed without trepidation.

I would also prefer to use stable version, but I can't after all 8.1 updates. I was hoping that they would release stable version few weeks back as they explained on forum. After this last major beta update I doubt that we will see next stable release soon.

Installed beta 4.09.05 and so far so good. Par for the course though, as I haven't had any problems with past beta or stable version updates.:thumb: Knock on wood. (Go Blackhawks)

If I was using W8.1, I wouldn't care what this version are called. If Invincea was holding releasing fixes for W8.1 until the next stable version gets released, right this moment you could not use Sandboxiie in your W8.1 system.

Yes, we know that, but not all other users who might want to try software. Most people will download version from download page and not from forum beta section. There is also no message on download page about SBIE latest stable release being incompatible with latest 8.1. with all updates installed. :doubt:

    Understood.:thumb:

I think they should have went full release with the 8.1 fixes and went 4.10.x for the other stuff they are working on. It's fundamental that the latest version supports the latest OS.

Anyway they didn't and .5 (mark 2:rolleyes:) works well on 8.1.

    Cheers

As I understand that was their first intent. At least that's what they wrote on forum, but then removed announcement. I guess something made them change their mind.

You are right about that. I also agree with Chris, to cover what you wrote above, one of the latest betas should have been released as SBIE V 4.10.

4.09.5 has been running on two W7 computers for a few days, no issues.
