Your might know better about that than me, I didn't use their customer service much.

Like you, Blues, I have not updated from 1.75. I do, however, run the program in RT.
I have read enough scary stories about 2.0 to keep me from going there for A LONG TIME.
Wonder how long 1.75 will be supported... anybody know?

After taking a couple of weeks to get perspective, MBAM is off my computer for now. It's hard to trust the decisions being made at Malwarebytes these days when they are updating computers to 2.0 when they know it has serious problems.

On their forum, I was told one year.
2.0 is off my computer as well for now.
I'll see how it evolves but I'm not satisfied with the product.

This decision appears sound to me. How rapidly it has changed for MBAM.
I haven't read all there is to read, however. Perhaps I have missed something important.
The consensus here seems to be that MBAM has faltered badly. Does anyone not agree?

Grab Chicalogic, your MBAM code works on it, and you can't be 'stealth' upgraded to 2.0 as Chicalogic doesn't interface with MBAM program updates, but gets all of the definition updates. So you get 1.75 with assurances it won't be tagged to 2.0 behind your back. That's what I have done now to all of the machines I have 1.75 deployed on to be sure there won't be a push out of 2.0 behind my back.

2.0x is a tragedy, plain and simple.

    ^ This

The old UI was simple, to the point and worked. New one feels bloated and awkward.

I don't like how they're pushing their Free trial either. Least it still actually has a good dection ratio and removes threats.

Is a new release expected soon, or are more beta versions expected first? :)

    Hello daman1:

    https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=147144#entry821541

The above post was edited just before the release of 2.0.2.1009 by the Program Manager, exile360.

That post therefore gives you all the changes since 2.0.1.1004. I believe a list wasn't formalized that shows the difference between build 1007 and build 1009.

    HTH :)

MBAM 2 is off my computer as well. Too glitchy - it auto-started itself and real-time protection at random even though I've turned off auto-start at Windows startup.

I also had to remove MBAM for the exact same reason.

Sheesh, I've already been running 1.75 on demand on my XP system for some time now...I hope I won't have to end up removing the mobile version from my Kindle Fire HDX. How the mighty have fallen...

I must say that so far, at least through the last few incarnations, I have experienced none of the issues described over the last several days in this thread; MBAM has performed flawlessly for me on my XP SP-2 box.
I'm currently on version 2.0.2.1009 and no complaints. The latest upgrade which took place this morning was smooth and the custom scan was slightly faster than with the previous version yesterday. Hopefully, this will be the norm from now on.

Guys, please keep in mind that we're moving as quickly as we can on your feedback. We're a small group of people, not a massive corporation with hundreds of engineers.

As I've said before, we've heard you loud and clear and are listening to other customers as well and prioritizing issues to be fixed. Anybody with bugs is encouraged to report them instead of just continue posting that they have them :).

I expect the current beta to go GA on May 12th.

As always, you can disable 1.75->2.x upgrades in 1.75 under the settings tab.

Always good to get positive feedback on this program, particularly considering all of the negatives we have been hearing.
I continue to stay with 1.75 until I feel comfortable that the Damage Control Squad has straightened everything out.
    Good to see Marcin posting.

Came home to find my Malewarebytes 2.0 Prem disabled. Went into setting to re enable and checked those two settings. Still shows disabled. Also can not update also can not access the help file. Any ideas?
