In today's newspaper Dell advertised an OptiPlex 3020 Mini Tower. 1) 4th gen intel Core I3 processor, 2) Windows 7 Professional, 3) 4GB memory & 500GB hard drive and 4) 3 years basic hardware service and 3 years basic next business day on-site service after remote diagnosis. Anyone have any experience with this computer? If so, would you care to share your experience? As always any and all replies would be very much appreciated and I would thank you in advance. John
How much is it? Look into getting a refurbished model - Dell offers them with the same warranty and service as a new one but you can keep a lot more cash in your pocket.
Sounds good. But it should be half that with a refurbished model - which could be brand new that was returned because the customer didn't like the color or changed their mind. Unfortunately, once returned, the manufacturer can no longer sell it as new even if there's nothing wrong with it. That's how you can pick up serious savings with the same warranty as on a new one!
My current PC is a Dell OptiPlex 330 from the Dell business segment side of things - which I'm very happy with. Sounds to me like it's a good deal as a new box would run you a few grand.
