^Copy and paste the link manually. There's a ":" missing after ftp in the link.

MajorGeeks has it as said above which then links to mozilla but with a slightly different URL as noted by 3x0qR13N.

They show 32 and 64 bit versions but both files are the same so just download either, you get the 32 bit version dated 2014-04-22.

Backup your system and profile just in case...;) then install v 29

    J

PS It looks pretty much the same as v 27 so I haven't installed the Classic Theme Restorer and I left the same profile, no need to create a new one.

If I close Cyberfox, open Firefox and install this, will it have an affect on my current use of Cyberfox? I ask merely because I know that Cf uses the Ff profile. I also read the post (and link to the Cf developer) a week or more ago how he will eventually update Cf with its own profile. Thank you!

Oh, I tried the internal updater to see if it would update to v 29 and it did so.

I so do not like the way the bookmarks function now and miss my side-bar bookmarks the way I had them for YEARS and could drag and drop them in the Bookmarks Toolbar and Bookmarks Menu and click both of them out of the way when finished. Also the NoSquint extension is not showing anymore since the Addon bar was removed (NoSquint could not be moved to another toolbar as I tried it several times in the past)

I might install the Classic Theme Restorer or just make Pale Moon my default instead of Fx.

@niki - Many are complaining of the dramatic UI changes. Though there are still currently no release notes to point to.
It would seem Mozilla are leaning toward a somewhat Internet Explorer look and feel.

I didn't notice any release notes either but when installing v 29.0 one can take a tour. Looks a bit like Chrome from what I remember about that one.

Found solutions to the missing addon bar: The Addon Bar (restored) extension works great afaict (No Squint is showing again) and the other issues I had are now resolved. Now it just takes some getting used to where everything is located. So far no need to install Classic Theme Restorer for me. Browser seems much snappier now compared to the previous version.

Just upgraded in Win 7 and 8 Pro – I see hardly any difference, just more options in the ribbon (which suits me fine!)

Is FF 29 crashing for anyone else when exporting bookmarks in HTML?

For those that upgraded to last version - how is FF 29 when it comes to speed? Does it start faster? Any other noticeable speed improvement?

v29 starts slightly faster and renders pages slightly faster.

I didn't experienced that when I tried exporting bookmarks in HTML...

Thanks for testing. I'll see what I can do to troubleshoot.

I looked at firefox 29 and decided the easiest way to deal with the new UI was to uninstall it and install Pale Moon. Are there any security issues with Pale Moon? From what I have read there are none. So far, I can't find anything bad about it. In fact, it's great.

It has some memory leak problems(possibly due to plugins) but it is better than any other previous version. I thought a new javascript engine was coming. Did it introduce or it will come later?

I also tested, no problems here. Do you have any entries with unusual characters? Just a thought.

No unusual characters. I'm suspecting SBIE is causing problems, possibly because I have allowed direct write for FF profile. Even though I tested both in & outside the sandbox, FF still crashes... v29 update was installed manually outside the sandbox of course. I'll see if reverting to 28 fixes the problem.
