Thanks Joe, I'll make sure I don't "push/queue" any remote commands in the interim! ;) I'll report back sometime after 5th and also raise support ticket if necessary.
In meantime I'll probably have to manually uninstall my son's 8.0.4.231 installation on his Mavericks MBP boot volume as it's causing him cpu/resource issues when I see him later next week.

Well I can confirm my Mavericks WSAC did auto update to 8.0.4.236:120 albeit I was on a UK T-Mobile MobileBB connection in my caravan as opposed to my UK Virgin Media Cable BB ISP.

Unfortunately although I didn't get the chance to re-install my sons Mavericks WSAC I did note that it also has auto updated to 236 in the interim.

So as you suspected there doesn't appear to be a WSAC related issue. ;) I now suspect my sons Macbook performance issues are also not directly related to WSAC either but may well be consequent on updating to Mavericks from Mountain Lion whereas I eventually re-installed on a clean test partition due to repeated kernel panics when I initially attempted the same a few weeks ago.

That said I've still no idea whether the "certification" on WSDaemon and WRBackNSync drivers has been released yet? My Activity monitor still shows WRBackNSync as "Not Responding" with multiple incrementing hangs although the functionality still appears to work![*]

Thanks again for your patient help anyway.

EDIT[*] and while I await some indication as to whether the Mavericks "re-certification" issue is resolved I can't help pondering as to whether following errors are related or completely separate issue? :

....and I also PM'd you a suggestion via the Webroot community forum! ;) We have a similar problem here that there are far far fewer Mac users than PC users unfortunately! :(

Hi Tony, Thank you for the PM, wish I would of read it sooner.:( Our time is off by 5 hours isn't it? I'm in a pickle now and stuck with the Beta version of Maverick 10.9.3 unless I want to completely erase and go back to Lion or DVD version of Mac ...and upgrade from there..not sure .. The Beta is running smoothly so far and you think by running The WSA Beta would cause havoic? In your humble opinion? Honestly I don't believe I can run Beta like a tech is suppose to do without having your knowledge and experience anyways. As far as I'm concerned I'm running WSA in a test mode already considering I'm on a Mac. This Beta OS. is probably going to be finished this early Summer...until a final release Right? Apple Support told me I'd pretty much have to erase to go back to Maverick 10.9.2.
Hmm.. anyways by next year I can be a Beta tester with WSA...for the year 2015?!

    :isay: Regards, Sherry

<bangs head on desk> Oh dear.... I refer the honourable lady to my initial post in this thread back last year: "eventus stultorum magister" :(
Not very helpful, somewhat derogatory latin quote but ironically very applicable it seems! ;)

Anyway appears all is not completely lost if you are only using your Mac as a test bed anyway. You may still have a bootable Mavericks Recovery partition anyway that may avoid you having to revert to Lion and upgrading from that?
As you can see from my earlier posts last year in this thread (and as per my PM you didn't read in time) I no longer contribute to the Beta testing as I had done occasionally in past 9yrs with Prevx and PC Platform, I therefore have no access myself to the "closed Beta forum" so I don't even know if they include any Mac beta testers that might be able to assist.
So re-read my PM again as I'm sure I didn't say a WSA Beta WOULD cause havoc, simply that it could because I haven't checked release notes/tried it myself etc on OSX 10.9.3 either - In fact as that OSX is a minor point release and WSA product is pretty d*mn good then I wouldn't necessarily expect it to!

Joe (prevxhelp) may well be able to establish/confirm whether current Mac release, or beta or even alpha builds has been initially tested on 10.9.3 Beta by WSA (Mac) Development.
However as he's a busy man it might be better to raise a support ticket and ask WSA support directly instead?

Now as you given me a headache, I trust you'll excuse me while I go lie down in a cool dark room..... ;)
