New members are the lifeblood of any forum. There is nothing constant but change. Gotta learn to roll with it man! ;)

Search engines, like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc., who use robots to index pages.

Something you can try and see if it makes a difference for you would be to place the NoScript "Message" about blocked scripts at the top instead than at the bottom of the browser. To do that, while on another site, go to NoScript options>Notifications and untick "Place message at the bottom".

Personally, I disable the message altogether so I untick "Show message about blocked scripts" and use the icons that Peter posted earlier. That really is a cleaner way of using NoScript and you can click on the icons to allow or revoke JS.

Or whitelist Wilders by adding wilderssecurity.com in Options>Whitelist. Thats a workaround that will definitely work.

Yeah, I miss that online/offline status indicator (in front of the person's name on every post) too. Previously it was very easy to tell if you were conversing with a person who is currently online or a person who is currently offline. It made a difference because if the person was online you tended to reply at once.

Few things that liked in the previous forum also was:
    - when a user doesn't have an avatar, it shows nothing instead of the "?" picture.
    - the avatar could have transparent background.

Once in awhile the site signs me out since the conversion. That never happened to me in the past.

On mobile devices(at least iOS) it is not possible to zoom out in order to fit more text in the screen. Because everything is so large now, a lot more scrolling is needed and there is no 'overview'(not sure if correctly translated.)

Is it possible to enable zooming out?

This would be very nice if implemented, and it also helps with very small posts of 1 sentence for example. With vB the post would be small as well, but now their is a minimum vertical height due to avatar and user details.

    :D

Previously also it was very easy to find all post from one user (click directly on his name, from the drop-down menu="See all post from "xxxxx" .

    Now? ............

I keep getting logged out, 3 times today already, starting to get a headache. I use Vanilla Cookie Manager, but the domain *.wilderssecurity.com is on my whitelist and it is set to delete cookies after 5 minutes and I am logged in even after hours, but then I am suddenly not. When I click on "clear unwanted cookies" and close the browser, clean the cache, then reopen the Wilders I am still logged in. It just happens randomly. :cautious:

First off all, Congrats LowWaterMark (and others of course) for successfully upgrading the forum !! Thanks !!

Since I changed to vB 3.x - Fluid skin, the favicon also changed from the typical Wilders one to an "xF" icon

Ps: I don't know if it helps someone, but in CCleaner I had to add "www.wilderssecurity.com" to the Keep Cookie list to prevent logging out after I ran CCleaner

Titles like "Massive poster" are now gone.

It would be nice if "Mark forums read" didn't have a confirmation popup, like the old forum.

Is there a way to load the forum with the login popup already showing? i.e. via modifying my bookmark?

Loved the old forum layout. This new layout is so cartoon looking. Really, it's awful looking. At least darken the back ground. It's too bright and detracts away from what I am trying to read. A darker white back ground would be easier on the eyes, and bolder black letters for thread topics and forum names would be an improvement too.

Test: I will post a picture (in my case .jpg):
    RT.jpg

Then I click on "More Options" and "Preview".
And the picture cannot be seen, neither in the preview itself (marked green) nor in the box below where I can edit my post (marked blue):

    Att.jpg

Anyway, it is not such a big problem as soon as you are accustomed to the situation. Because in case that finally you are not satisfied with a picture you uploaded, you are able to edit / remove it after publishig your posting.

    Thank's for testing, CloneRanger.
