I'll report that it's working fine on my end as well, albeit that doesn't solve the problem some people here has.

Working fine for me, though I got a message about Repair Winsock, but my internet is working fine, and so is internet on my VM, plus I have been using it for a long time and no message from Hitman before, perhaps it is because I just updated my VMware Player to v3.13?

To anyone that report Hitman Pro working on their end: has it successfully uploaded a file?

I doubt that - I just have Windows Firewall and it has not been a problem since I started using Hitman Pro - until today. The only thing I did today that was different is an update to IE9. The items Hitman Pro is trying to scan pertain to that update, I think.

HMP appeared to be uploading an Alwil software file, algo.dll to the scan cloud,
but then results said, "No connection to Scan Cloud".

nope. as you can see from the debugging it just does not get past the SSL handshake.

Forgot I was still during the update process, I rebooted and completed update to v3.13 and now the Winsock repair message is gone.

BTW, I also get no connection to scan cloud when HMP tries to upload some files during scan.

No connection to scan cloud woes

We have noticed the No connection to scan cloud messages and addressed it. It should be solved now.

Some people got the message while others did not.

There was something with the SSL part of the webserver (although NOT certificate related). A reset of that component did the trick.

Thank you all for reporting. If you still get the error then please report.

'Scan with Hitman Pro' and 'Protection against LNK' checkboxes are blurred out.

    Help?

This is a silly question but I want to know what would happen if I activate the commercial license without using up the free license, can the free license be activated after the license period expires?

    various HMP errors

    reason for concern?

Error 5 while opening process with id 4 (System process)

DirectoryIndex 147071 is corrupt (index overflow I)

About the LNK protection: if you have the Microsoft patch for it (distributed by Windows Update) you don't need that option anymore and it will be greyed out.
About the Scan with Hitman Pro: you did probably not "install" it but choose to run the portable version?

No. Once you have a purchased license you cannot activate the free license on that particular computer.

The checkboxes are greyed out when Hitman Pro is not installed on the computer (not running from the Program Files folder). This means that you have either chosen No in the Setup dialog (that appears when you press Next) -or- you started Hitman Pro for the first time and went straight to the Settings dialog.

The 'Protection against LNK' checkbox is also grayed out when your computer was already patched with the proper Microsoft patch that fixes the LNK exploit.

Thanks Matthijs5nl for also clarifying :thumb:
