I posted today an update-notification in the Update-Alerts forum-section for the new ZoneLog Analyser:
    ZoneLog Analyser V1.19 05/01/04

I thought it might be a good idea to post a bit more.

    site: http://zonelog.co.uk/

    ZoneLog Analyser is not free.

    What does it do?
    Quote from the site:
ZoneLog Analyser reads and displays the log file generated by ZoneLabs' ZoneAlarm and ZoneAlarm Pro (V2.1.10 and later) personal firewall, entries in the log are generated whenever an unauthorised connection is attempted to or from your PC during connection to the Internet. ZoneLog Analyser will attempt to unravel the information that is provided in the ZoneAlarm log file by giving information about the ports used and the ability to 'look up' the intruder's address details.

You can read the version history here:

For this latest release the change-log is:

    V1.19 05/01/04

    Bug Fixes
Updated recognition for relabeled FWOUT_OK types.
Fixed a bug in the SMTP DShield submission that affected some mail servers.
DShield submission now excludes addresses tagged as Friendly.
Simplified tracking of unfriendly addresses after import.
Hopefully fixed remaining '401' errors when doing DNS lookups.

    New Features
Log listings broken down into pages to increase speed and reduce display overflow problems.
Added new Port database update check which can dynamically update the Port database via the internet whenever new definitions are available.
Added user definable interval for automated DShield submissions.
When creating a report from the RAW log for Addresses or Ports returning to the RAW log from the Report Mode will return to the row that the report was created from.

    You can download it here:
    http://zonelog.co.uk/downloads.html

As you can see at that page: there are two different install-packages:

    Quote:

Listed below are the available installation packages for ZoneLog.
If you have never installed ZoneLog before or you have uninstalled a previous version then you need to download the Full Install package as this includes several dependency files required to run the program. If you are using a previous version of ZoneLog then you can simply update the newer files by downloading and installing the Update package, do not uninstall your current version before upgrading.

    - end quote -

    And:

    Quote:

As well as the first-time Full install you will also require the Visual Basic (VB) 6 runtime files which are available separately from here (1Mb) if you don't have them already (you need to run this file after download to install the VB files).

So if you already had a previous version of ZoneLog Analyser installed on your system, simply run the update-package.
    Updating went smoothly here :)

If you don't have it already installed and you would like to use it:
    1.
Install the VB6 runtime files (maybe you already have them on your system).
    2.
    Install the full package.

As you might have read, there is this new feature (among other new ones):

"Added new Port database update check which can dynamically update the Port database via the internet whenever new definitions are available."

ZoneLog Analyser had already an in-build feature to check for updates for the program itself, but now there is that new feature to let it check for a new port-database.

And indeed: there was already a new port-database.
Updating of that one went also without problems :)
