Zonealarm free and IRC :(

I shouldn't of updated... the new version (7.0.302.00) dosen't have the "unblock IRC" option. Which really sucks.

Anyone have a idea how to curcumlate this problem ?

p.s: I *think* the blocking is port based so connecting to an IRCd that isn't listening on '6667' will work. Though my favorite IRC Network only uses '6667'

If you have not yet tried the Trial, click on the button to try ZASS now. Once it switches to ZASS, go to IMsecurity -> Settings -> Advanced button, and UNcheck the box to Block IRC.
- After 15 days, the Trial will revert back to the free version, but it will remember your setting to not block IRC.

Next time install ZAPRO instead of ZAfree. It is lighter and after the trial you will get your free version without any unwanted addon.

So there is no *real* way how to unblock IRC in the free version (without going though all this pain).

 

Yep, don't know if it has been fixed in the new .337 build...
With version 7, always better installing ZAPRO than ZAfree (i.e. ZASS)
