Yes, I know I can. But I rather the beta. It seems like it is updated more.

Actually, in the last few weeks stable version is released a day or two after beta...
Since it's pretty stable right now, I'm more interested in their plans for real-time protection.

That would be pretty cool. Right now I am using Norton only because it is free from my isp.

Yes, lol when I took the computer back to factory settings I noticed that. The stable version is higher number than the beta.

Honestly though... how likely is this in light of the app's apparent marketing target audience as a plausible HMP replacement?

Edit: HMP has not given any indication of adding "real time protection" and I seriously doubt Zemana will deviate from that protection model/pricing considerations aside... :p

Oh..! A "second opinion" scanner that dabbles with real time protection along the lines of Avira, Kasperky, Eset, Bitdefender, AVG, etc. More or less. Some of these guys may be sorry they ever licensed their engine out to this potential monster. Guess we'll have to wait and see once this app gets involved with the testing agencies for a good taste of the empirical evidence at hand.

I wonder how will they implement the real-time protection.

    A. Only use Zemana own engine for real-time

    B. Use all available engines for real-time
In this case, it would be useful for Zemana to automatically disable an engine if it detects that the antivirus already uses it. Since it would be redundant to have both active. Kinda like how Emsisoft doesn't recommend using their antivirus with another that uses the Bitdefender engine.

On issue A alone, how likely is it that Zemana will be able crank out an anti-V/AM engine that will come even close to matching the combined efforts of ______ (all other engines inclusive)?! Never mind all of the years of research and technology the other vendors have over and above Zemana in that specialized field.... :doubt:

Great reference! Some rather interesting and informative youtubers gave it a spin --- but to my knowledge, none of the "major" testing agencies have touched it. BTW, that is my hugest disappointment with said agencies. Month after month, year after year --- same ol' vendors over and over. Rinse and repeat. Business as usual. A plethora of fledgling "just breaking out" apps out there they could test and prove to be amazing apps. A real shake-up to the status quo, per se'. Yeah... sure size matters... the bigger the wallet the better.

And I'll shout from the rooftop what the Mods are already observing but will hopefully refrain from posting deletions herein. LET'S STAY ON TOPIC, folks. :ninja:

They might have more experience but so what? You don't know who Zemana has working for them either. Maybe they have been around the block and are not just starting out.

Feature request: To go along with the antivirus how about a firewall.

I don't like the extra comodo program that comes with it. Some program that tells me my computer is extra hot.

    Sorry don't see it.

Link to portable beta 667 still works, but if you change the "1" to a "2" for public release it does not.

All I see is the version that is installed, not the portable version.
