    I have Splitted my drive D into two drive (D = 455G and M = 400G).
It all works fine, but when I look in Windows DIsk Management I see that there is one Unallocated area (400G) and one Free Space area (455G)!
This worries me a lot because apparently the info is not consistent!

    What Acronis reports:

    What XP shows:

Please advise, what should I do?
    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the forum.

The "problem" is because you have mixed Primary and Logical partitions. DD doesn't have a problem with this and Windows will work fine. However, Disk Management won't display the partitions correctly. As long as you don't use Disk Management to make partitioning changes, there shouldn't be any problems.

If M: were a Primary partition instead of a Logical partition, Disk Management should display the partitions correctly (assuming DD moves the Extended Partition Container to the end of the C: partition).
