P.S. After posting this I just used PageDefrag and now it's not complaining, so what's the deal with that? Hmmm

I installed for someone a 1TB Seagate hard drive and split it into 2 partitions. 250G for C and the rest for D.

After I do a defrag and click the Analyze, it keeps popping up saying I should defrag the volume.

    Here's what the report says:

    Code:

        Volume size = 254 GB

It was recommending a defrag of C:\ because it detected a high percentage of volume and file fragmention, I'd imagine-- 27% and 55%, respectively. Those are high numbers.

Why it detected it as being that high after you'd already just done a defrag, I couldn't tell you.

As I said I ran PageDefrag, now it's not complaining...

Now this is the report after running PageDefrag:

Since you defragged with PageDefrag the 'pagefile.sys' - that had two fragments - file fragmentation is 4%, instead 55%. With the newest low fragmentation level there aren't reason to complain...
