Ok, I have an aging NT4/SP6 server with Exchange 5.5 SP4. I installed NOD32 2.5 with XMON solely to strip off cetain attachments like .exe/.bat/.rar etc. However I can send myself .bat files externally without a hitch. They just come right on through via Outlook and saveable on to my desktop! I am pretty sure I have configured the rules correctly or is there a known issue with NOD32 and my set-up? Any input appreciated.

I don't have an XMON, which component are you talking about?

    Hi There,
If you refer to EMON then notice that it specifys what extensions you wist to EXCLUDE from scanning, it will not block them it will just not scan them.

There are actually some limitations, depending on the version of VSAPI supported by the particular version of MS Exchahnge. I'm not sure if this is one of them with regard to MS Exchange 5.5 (which is quite old , however). We'll try to investigate it and let you know.
