    Greeting,

XeroBank has created a new way to surf the internet securely. We took a really fast browser, Google Chromium, and put it inside a secure linux virtual machine we built. It is virtually immune to viruses, spyware, malware, hacking, side-channel attacks, and privacy attacks. It is now possible to surf the internet without compromising your computer. Coming soon to your computer!

    FEATURES

    • Protects your OS from web based malware
    • Web browser runs securely from inside the VM
    • Supports Flash and HTML 5 Video/Audio
    • Uses Transmission for torrent support
    • Applications look and feel native in the host OS
    • Supports Xerobank Networks for anonymity
    • Supports the Tor network for anonymity
    • Includes xPDF reader
    • 600% FASTER than Internet Explorer 8
    • 300% FASTER than Firefox 3.5
    • Run on Windows, Mac, and Linux
    • Completely Open Source (FOSS / GPL).

    BLISSFULLY ANTICIPATED QUESTIONS

    Q. But wait, it is running in a Virtual Machine, doesn't that mean it has some ugly window?
    A. No! The new xB Browser has a normal application window for your OS.

    Q. How can I get files out of the Virtual machine?
    A. You don't have to. There is a Download folder created on your host operating system. Any files you select to be downloaded will appear there. Downloading files is fine, but make sure you virus scan them if you are going to run them on your computer.

    Q. Is this better than using the regular Tor Bundle?
    A. Absolutely. This creates a secure environment in which we can now run Javascript, Flash, and Java without having to worry about compromising the host OS, leaving it untouched. By running Chromium inside a VM, we protect ourselves from unknown malicious exploits and side channel attacks that could compromise our privacy and/or anonymity.

    Q. This sounds amazing. It can do secure torrents, anonymous internet, and protect me from exposing myself to viruses / malware / spyware. Is this for real?
    A. Yes, it is. It is currently in beta on the XeroBank forum.

    Thanks, Steve.

I have been running a self-anonymized version of Chrome through XeroBank for some time now and love the speed and separate process each window in Chrome brings. Combined with the new Marc Ecko "skin" for Chrome, it is a stylish and secure browsing experience.

Sounds great. Is it on your site yet?

Do I download the Xerobank installer to get the xB Browser VM edition?

The public beta is not open yet, but all XeroBank customers are welcome to request access to the private beta via XeroBank Forum, in the Beta Request thread.
