As I said it would leave a hole for malware and if there was a folder exclusion and you get infected then you come and say hey I got infected and we would say it's because of your exclusion of that Folder! Maybe talk to Comodo and see if they can encrypt the files in there quarantine folder?

It does, under PC Security - Quarantine - Detection Configuration. However, you don't need to exclude other AVs within WSA for it to be compatible. For other actual malware on the system in another AV's quarantine folder, I wouldn't see a downside to just allowing WSA to remove it. WSA's quarantine is encrypted and protected so that an infection can't "escape".

Thank you for your advice. I tried but though obviously Comodo doesn't encrypt the quarantined files it did't let WSA delete them. One question - if I allow the files detected in Comodo's quarantine folder under PC Security - Quarantine - Detection Configuration, will WSA ignore them only in this specific location (Comodo's quarantine folder) and detect them elsewhere?

The override is based on file signature so you would end up allowing those files across the system. I think it would be best to just purge Comodo's quarantine from within Comodo's interface so that the infections aren't on your system anymore.

    So, is this "fall" release?

Yes, once finalized it will be, although there are some other features which will be coming slightly after the initial release which are already in place in the code but won't be enabled until the other parts of the product are finished.

Thanks Joe for your kind reply:)
I have solved the problem and now the padlock appears on the icon in the systray with the 8.0.2.6 beta version!
In fact I had configured Heuristics too high. So i set it up to "recommended" after rolling back to a previous snapshot with 8.0.1.233 and installing the new release over it. Voila!
Sorry for disturbing you for an issue caused by myself:oops:
Thanks also to Daniel for turning his attention to the problem i was encountering!
Finally sorry for pegas if this issue is not yet solved for him:(

    Cheers,
    Herve

Is the increase in backup storage space included in that list of disabled features? Or will it already be in place fully enabled?

No problem ;) I am really glad everything's alright for you :thumb:

To be honest, I am not for hundred percent sure that the missing padlock is solely down to my OS resp. WSA language because never had this issue in the past. Yeah the support said that it is due to language but nobody from support tried to debug my system. Even if we have had a few remote sessions they never debugged explaining that only Joe can do that but he is very busy. So it ended up blankly. I believe that a one day Joe will be available ...

    Hi All

I am back in the beta cycle (at least for the present). :D

Reason for coming back is that I have recently updated to KIS 2013 and run foul of the incompatibility issue that Kaspersky have introduced in relation to using their app with WSAE (previously the worked together like a dream). I logged a support ticket with KL...but heard nothing back.

Having heard that this was being fixed in the WSAE Fall version (trust Joe & the Team to pick up the issue & sort it...:thumb:) I am back to give the latest beta a check against the latest (Patch 'a') version of KIS2013...so far so good (but still early days).

However, just had to agree, with fax and other, re. the super impressive new installation routine, revised GUI and especially its improved user friendliness.

Kudos to Joe & the Team! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

    Regards

Yes it's for the Beta Tester's Group that signed up during the 2012 version early last year!

Must say that I am confused about what appears to be the recent public (commercial) & beta release numbering.

As far as I understand it 8.0.2.6 is the latest beta yet in the 'Prevx Release' thread there is a post about 8.0.2.14 being out...and rolling out o_O :

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=332758

Does that mean that really the beta version should be numbered 8.0.2.60...if it is ahead of the public version being rolled out? :doubt:

Sure there must be a logical explanation...but it is just eluding me at present. o_O

    Regards

    Exactly - 14 is greater than 6.

Indeed... that is how I read it...so how does one explain that the commercial release appears to be AHED of the current beta o_O :doubt:

Currently Webroot has quite a few Beta's testers and they are not accepting any new request at this time but if there is ever a need it will be posted here.

Commercial version currently still v8.0.1.233 it will be rolled out to v8.0.2.14 and yes the Beta is still at v8.0.2.6 so I would assume we will all get v8.0.2.14 over the next few days and if there is another beta soon as there always is the Beta testers will get it first!
