    Hello Joe!

I have a licence of PrevX3 with Safe on Line included that is valid and runs till January 2012. Now that WSA Official is released and after being a beta tester (the current WSA Beta i have is 80048 and in my account i still have 366 days of subscription left!). How to get the Official version without losing my PrevX 3 with Safe on Line licence? May i get a discount price? Can i keep the beta running?
    Sorry for so many questions.
    Thanks for your reply.

    Cheers,
    Herve

I forgot to ask one more question! LOL
If i get the official version, should i uninstall the beta? Or just update it?
    Thanks.

We're still working on the transition of current Webroot customers and after that we'll be working on the transition of current Prevx customers. In the meantime, you can keep your beta/P3 keys working as they have been - you will be automatically upgraded as soon as we're finished with this series of updates.

No problem :) You will still be receiving full functionality with the beta keycode/version.

Any idea on how long us private beta testers will be treated to free WSA?

Mine expired? I was reverted to detection only version, without Identity Protection. :argh:

Never mind, the question was for the private beta... lol

Why not make the beta licenses permanent? That way Webroot always has a group of testers if they want to test some changes prior to pushing out to the main public.

Because then most people would stay on the beta license and never buy WSA.

I highly doubt their beta testers make up that large of a part of their user base.

I'd be interested if Joe can tell us many paid users they have vs beta testers. If that would be able to keep Webroot profitable it does sound like an interesting idea.

My guess, and this is probably way off.

    Private beta testers: 100-200
    Paid users: > 1,000,000

Those numbers would switch dramatically if the media picked up of a possible way to get WSA free if you test.

I think if they were to even try to do something like that you should have to apply or get chosen to be in the tester group.

I doubt it. 99.9% of people do not read internet stories on anti-viruses. We are freaks.

I concur...who (else) would be running WSA continually, rotating thru 3 snapshots. :D ...since it was made available to a select few in June. ;)

BTW, I have updated 2 of those snapshots to v8.0.0.60

By "automatically updated" do you mean that our Prevx 3.0 installation will detect a software update and turn into Webroot?

If so that would be seriously awesome.

Should we still use the old thread to report bugs? I have found some that make WSA unusable on my machines. I already know which module or shield is causing the problem. I would like to post on it to see if other users are experiencing the same problem.
