    By itself.

    Very odd.

    It just disappeared.

    Is this a known issue.

There is no malware on the machine. As a scan after reinstall showed.

Does it come back after a reboot or is it completely missing? Could you send me the file WRLog.log from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\WRData\ to my username @ gmail.com?

Also, do you have the web console registered at all and did you send any agent commands?

    Thanks!

And, are you on the beta version or the live version?

    Glad this isn't just me!

I had it disappear from a Windows 7 desktop.. Boom.. Not there.. Gone.

Thought it was odd, reinstalled, then the next day it was gone from another desktop.. Totally gone, as if it never existed on the machine. Two different keys - by the way.. I own about two dozen Webroot licenses, and these are 2 verified, accurate, and real keys purchased from a known enterprise vendor.

At first I thought it was licensing issues, but I have now verified the keys are accurate through support. No Web Console registered yet for any of the disappearing ones, so no commands sent by me. Maybe it's the NSA? <snicker>

Now I have no clue why Webroot is disappearing, but will watch some machines carefully.. I pray they won't disappear from the dozens of machines I maintain, which I have recently deployed WSA onto.. My god...

had this happen in the past. what fixed it was to reinstall. then correctly to uninstall it. then reboot (very important or it didnt work) and then reinstall after the reboot. then reboot once more. after this i had no problems again. still have no idea what happened but after this i had no issues

When did you see it disappear? Were there files still in the WRData folder or was it completely uninstalled? Could you let me know how you deployed it (MSI vs exe) and if you used the console to issue any uninstall commands or use the Automation Mode parameters?

    Installed via WSARetail.exe

No console was used, no automated parameters.. I didn't check the directory, sorry. I rebooted, reinstalled, and went on to the next machine. If it happens again I will be a little more discerning in my investigation.

WSA AV used to disappear from my XP SP3 machine whenever it updated automatically, with not even a sign of it in Task Manager; in fact, that is how I used to know it had updated! It hasn't done so (disappear when updating automatically) for some time now; no idea why.
