WSA and Dr. Web Only Ones to Catch MediaInfo

    MediaInfo, I think a decently popular freeware program, started bundling low-risk adware/grayware into their installer to make money. The sole developer denies this, claims it asks you if you want to install it, and that it is not adware. I proved to him what happened with screenshots and he still claims he cannot reproduce this.

    Nevertheless, I allowed it to run in Monitor Mode and it installed a search bar in my browsers and it installed Fantapper which is a known crap app.

    It seems Webroot and Dr. Web are the only ones to catch this right now.

    WSA is actually labeling it "Adware: Install Monitizer". Well said. :)
