wow something seriously screwed up...

okay this may sound weird but it happened.

i went to my root c: and noticed after firefox was all screwed up displaying pages wise and wsa MOVED itself to the root of c: i had the lastpass files which normally reside in the start folder, a webroot folder, the webroot uninstall exe, and other stuff from webroot. and the webroot folder from the programs folder was now gone.

i for sure did not move anything and i scanned this system with hitman, malwarebytes, dr web, eset, bitdefender, avira and found nothing.

how did these files move themselves to the root of c:??

now for the other weird thing i then went and uninstalled webroot. rebooted and it was back?? everything even the desktop icon and all the folder etc but this time it went ahead and installed itself once again to the root of c: and not where it usually installs itself and i did not choose any other area for installation

so what could have happened?

im now restoring a earlier image and will attempt a reinstall of wsa..
