I just purchased WG3 today after trialing it for a while and I'm wondering if WG is like other DCS software. With TDS-3 & Process Guard licenses I'm entitled to upgrades to the next versions of the software. Is WG like that? I assume it is but I guess I want to see it in text.
    Thanks

Hi se7engreen, Yes, As a licenced user you are now entitled to a free upgrade to WormGuard V4 when it is released, though there is no release date specified as yet but WG4 is in development.

I agree with ChrisP, WG 4 will never be released and is probably vaporware. I have waited for two years or maybe more now as well and frankly I have given up on DCS. I will not use WG 3 on my system because it breaks too many things. I know about the workarounds and various hacks to make it work and DCS says its more of a fault with Windoze etc etc. But to me everything works fine unitl I install WG then things break and I will not make changes to my system to run a flawed program. As for TDS 4, again vaporware, they have moved on to Process Guard and abandoned everything else I believe. I will not buy Process Guard because I feel it is only a matter of time before they move on to something else and abandon it and its users just as they have on the upgrades for TDS 3 and WG 3.

JPM, You are dead wrong, TDS4 and WormGuard4 are in development - At least one version of TDS4 will be released this year.
Process Guard was developed because there was not a product out there that could protect users from some of the latest threats, rootkits imparticular, Process Guard does and, as far as I know, no other does.

This thread will be closed in soon as it is now going too far off topic

I installed WormGuard myself on an XP home system and none of the problems.
I did check especially for the Windows Help before and after installing anything and WormGuard especially and no difference there.
Maybe because i did close all other programs carefully and rebooted after install and after putting in my keyfile. the reboot is very important!
