Bropia is that one that offers "links" to "pics" right? tries to send a 30kb file? I know the one. I didn't fall for it though

  3. What software is there that can help protect against these these threats appart from common sense. I currently have Avast free version and there other free scanner thing, A squared free version and ewido free version as well as other anti spyware things. Would these protect me? what ekse is there that is free as i do not have money to pay for the protection.

The "Kelvir" family of worms are further example of this trend:

Those few worms/viruses spreading via MSN messenger give it something suitable:
MSN messenger- chat at your own risk.

Thanks for the links blackspear. I have roughly about half of the software listen on the suggestions page. The problem is this is a family pc so programs like prevx and process guard are not really suitible as my sister will end up mucking things up. I am interested in the host file thing. I have read the link on there explaining what it is but I still dont really understand them could some one possibly explain them to me and how you update them etc.

    Thanks.

Hi Michael, can you repost your question HERE as we are straying a bit off topic. We'll then walk you through setting up a hosts file, it is very simple to do, so you shouldn't have a problem.

    Cheers :D
