They did? The "playing like crap" applies to the Canadian team too.

I agree. It's too late for Vancouver(already committed) but after that hopefully we'll never have to go through this fiasco again...

    Yihaa, SWEDEN in the final!

Considering it must be freezing in that arena, I'll be rooting for the female Swedish fans ;) *puppy* *puppy* *puppy* :D

Anyone who dares to challenge the achievements of the greatest speedskater of all times (Eric Heiden USA 1980 5 times GOLD) is the biggest (& dumbest) mouth of all, to say the least.
(And I should know; I happen to know a little of "bigmouthing" myself... :D )

Guess it must be a Texan thing...I know at least 1 person with the same disease coming from that state.... :gack:

    play on,

Eric Heiden at the Olympics is my earliest memory of the Olympics. it's why i said i loved long track speed skating earlier in this thread. i just remember some guy in yellow winning everything. at least i hope it was yellow unless i'm thinking of someone else

USA played very good, but what can you do when you have to play against the ONLY team which has the whole heart in it?

    Best regards,
    Firefighter!

    All-Nordic final.

    Very well deserved.

Congrats to both Finland and Sweden. :)

I guess we could flip a coin on the winner of this one eh? ;) :D

Again we can see what's the worth of player's earnings. Canada had the most expensive team and then came USA, but where are they now? Finland had only the 7:th place in this comparison but still they are in the final.

    Best regards,
    Firefighter!

:'( Well the winter Olympics are almost at an end, so guess Will have to look forward to the summer games. I admit I sort of like the winter ones better however.

That ain't no "football", that be your "soccer". Football is played by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    Thanks

The 1st part of your post was either very diplomatic or tongue in cheek! Like I said in my previous post.....they played like crap!

Can't wait for the next Summer Olympics when the USA B'ball "Super Stars" get their butts kicked again! What a joke!!

    I love it, big ed

    Sorry Wildguy,

If you look up the history of American Football you might find that it was sprung from English Football (Soccer) and Rugby! Pittsburgh hadn't been discovered yet!

:) o_O That Rugby stuff will get you killed. The "Wildman" be wild, but rugby? I don't think the "Wildman" be that wild.

Hay if my gray cells are firing correctly I think I recall seeing on one of them history type networks that the native peoples of ancient times played some sort of game involving a ball, and they tried to beat the hell out of each other.
