Winfixer Is Targetted by Class Action Civil Suit

    Winfixer got someone angry enough to start a civil class action lawsuit aimed at it.

    Nice to see action of some sort taken. While I am not in favor of law suites in general and do believe in personal knowledge\responsibility when it comes to PC use.... I have personally seen\fixed the damage done by Winfixer and other programs of it`s ilk. While I am sure this will not be the end of this type of malware distribution it may at least serve to slow it down....for a while anyways.

    The reference to 100 victims is an error in the story: those are actually "Doe defendants," meaning wrongdoers whose names we don't yet know.

    The court would determine the size of the class, which probably numbers in the millions.
