Windowsupdate

it's not needed now but i wanted to write this thread while i remembered, it will be useful for me and i hope to others too who don't already do this...

i find Windowsupdate a real chore - i have to allow the Generic Host Process with my FW and turn Automatic Updates and BITS to automatic in Services. so in future i am hoping this page will display the needed updates, as it does now, so i can use it instead.

there's also the issue of letting MS scan your PC, i don't think it scans for anything but hotfixes, but i don't know. so, when the next updates are out i'll come back to this thread and ask for someone who knows if all the critical updates are displayed.
