I am running Windows98 Second Edition with IE5.5 SP2 (All security updates for OS + IE) - now, sometimes the Control Panel, and Printers icons change to the Wordpad icon, and become a drive "W:" (Which, with a bit of research led me to a site saying it was just a common Windows98SE glitch) ... However, under Control Panel>System>Device manager I have a group called "Tape Detection" in the group are 2 identical generic drivers that are just named "Tape Detection" - Now, I assume it'd be detection for a tape drive, however, I have no, nor never had, a tape drive connected to my PC, I can't get the drivers to stay away! I uninstalled them in normal Windows mode, and Safe Mode, they come back (Without any notice, no installing drivers prompt, or anything else) with every restart... I've tried everything I know to get rid of them... Does anyone else know how to?
