    Hello,

I want two versions of Windows XP on my single hard drive (on 2 separate partitions).

Can I have DD9's OS Selector see (and boot, of course!) my XP Home and XP Pro installations? Anything to obey during Installation? How is Windows XP-CD to be used in order to get the recovery console? Can I create a boot-CD instead of the regular floppy ( on my Notebook)?

    Hello Hase,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Director Suite (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/).

You can create dual boot system with the help of Acronis OS Selector. If you need to get into Recovery Console please boot from Windows Installation CD and press "R" when it is prompted. However if you need it to restore MBR there is another more simple way (as I got from your post you don't have floppy drive or don't want to use it so I will give you the instructions for CD):

Please use the following ISO image to create a special CD:

    http://www.acronis.com/files/support/mbrautowrite_en.iso

You can read how to record a CD with an ISO image at the following links:

    http://trb.org/publications/burning_iso.html
(Nero Burning ROM and Roxio Easy CD Creator)

    http://members.home.nl/lsnoek/iso.htm
    http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm
    (other applications)

Once the CD is written, boot the computer from it and confirm that you want to fix the master boot record.

Could you please describe what "boot-CD" do you want to create? If you mean Acronis Disk Director Suite Bootable CD then you can do it providing you have CD-burning drive in the computer where Acronis Disk Director Suite is installed.

    Thank you.
