When I first started using Nod32 as my antivirus, there was a problem where Windows Updates would get stuck at "Configuring Updates". I thought the problem was resolved.

However, today I experienced the same problem. I'm running Windows 7 SP1 and Nod32 v.4.2.71.2. After performing a Windows Update, the machine rebooted and get stuck at "Configuring Updates 3 of 3".

I had to boot with the Windows CD and delete C:\windows\system32\drivers\eamonm.sys. After doing so, Windows finished the updates and booted. Although, Nod32 had to be reinstalled.

I'm wondering if other still experience this problem. I know one option is to disable Nod32 before the update, but it seems silly to request that of my staff before I push down Windows updates.

    Regards

You may wish to disable the system updates feature and see if this resolves your situation.

You may also submit a support ticket to ESET.

    Thank you.
