Windows update patch + fix

    Hi,

    does anyone remember a Windows update, not too long ago if I remember that caused problems for some users with IE and browsing not being able to render pages properly and the subsequent fix.

    I'm not sure if I've got the right one, so any help if anyone can remember this would be most appreciated.

    There have been a few issues Some Web sites may not be displayed correctly or work correctly in Windows Internet Explorer 8? here are some links to take a look at to see if there applicable in your case. I am presuming you are running IE8 and if not i recommend that you do as you will most probably find your problem solved but do take a look at these links and let me know how you get on

    and How do I uninstall or remove Internet Explorer 8? and then reinstall it may be the way to go ?

    Hi Nick thanks for reply.

    I applied a fix, still no go - pages just hung when half way downloading or not at all. Had a thought and uninstalled his internet security. My friend is very happy now everything working nicely.
