    Hey everyone, here's my problem:

I have 3 PC's (all brand new and all running Windows XP SP2 with stock firewall enabled) connected through a switch. I have passwords on all accounts and 'simple file sharing ' has been disabled.

When I prompt mapping from one PC to another, (\\PCNAME\DRIVE$) the network path cannot be found. If the same thing is done but with the firewall turned off, eveything works fine.

What would be the best way (so that things work but that I don't open ports to everyone on internet) to fix this little firewall problem when mapping drives?

Thanks a lot for your help.

The best would be to buy qualitive router (with NAT+SPI) and configure it correcty to hide your entire network from the world .

Then configure Windows Firewall so that only "File and Printer sharing" is allowed and this your computers will be protected and you can do what you want .

    :D
