I know lots of people have System restore enabled, and some have made use of it. But has anybody ever used WRC, and if so how successful was it, or not ?

Have used it on many occasions, when attempting to repair Windows, but presumably because Windows was beyond salvation,I have NEVER found it enabled a successful repair:'(

    Yes a few times - MBR / Boot.ini / disable service

Not as useful as it could be

I've used it many times, particularly to recover from XP's mysterious habit of losing or corrupting files which make up the registry. It's fine, as long as you can "work" a commandline environment and as long as you know what the DOS commands do. Not friendly at all, but a lifesaver nonetheless.

    Hello,
Used it after the fabulous Windows Defender undefended the MBR upon uninstall following a superbly unsuccessful use.
