Since the last lot of MS patches Windows reports that I have no firewall or anti virus protection in security center.

I have always had Pcillin 06 as my firewall and anti virus which until then Windows acknowledged in security center. Windows firewall had always been turned off.

I have done leaktests showng my computer 100% secure so was wondering why the sudden change in Windows notification.

I also have OnLine Armour av+ active and Trend Micro Anti Spyware active.

    Any ideas?

    Hi, The Phantom

YES! turn the Security Centre off.

Centre is the correct spelling for the incorrect US spelling Center.

    Take Care,

I am just joking, it is not a flame of the the my US Friends. :D

Windows Security Center sometimes gets messed up when you add a new program or install patches. Here is a discussion by someone who had a similar problem. You might want to pose your problem on the Trend Micro PCCILLIN forum.

I see, your just being colourful? :p
Ain't it just horrible how us Yanks mangle the King's English? But at least we ain't as bad as down under :-*

security center (:D ) has often had difficulties recognizing certain aps as a functioning AV\firewall. So its no great surprise its suddenly developed amnesia.
    Ignore it ;)

If you know what you're doing then just turn security centre off.

    Hello,
Centre comes from French, hence the colossal discrepancy between spelling and pronounciation. I would have thought the limeys didn't like the froggies? ? :) Me joking, too...
    Cheers mate,

Oui, thanks guys, having tried all other suggestions, I find the best option is as I have, turn off the bleeding security center/centre and to Hell with Windows.

Happy New Year to all out there.:) :) :)
