    I just just recently got a machine with USB3 support, and even at that I don't have any USB3 devices yet. At least USB is backward compatible. Thunderbolt excites me about as much as Firewire did.

    If I was to scrap support for every device I had it would only be for Intel's original "Light Peak". That would keep us going for at least 10 years.

    Well one could say that this is Light Peak even if it is a "Lite" version of it because it uses copper instead.
    And Afaik the "original" is still being developed...
